Billboard Hot 100 Fest: Lil Yachty, DJ Khaled, Major Lazer and more!

Highlights from day two at the Billboard Hot 100 Musical Festival hosted at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY.

The annual two-day music festival featured artists who have climbed the billboard charts over the last year. The festival consists of four stages set with more than 30 live performances. This year’s performances guaranteed a great show with even some special guests. Read below to see the highlight moments from yesterday’s lineup.

Hot 100 Stage

The festival stage opened with great performances from Ayo & Teo and Echosmith, who each set the tone for the self-proclaimed, King of Anthems, DJ Khaled. Khaled amped the crowd with a variety of hip-hop mixes including his two platinum records “I’m the One” and “Wild Thoughts.” During his 45 minute segment, Khaled also welcomed a special guest, rapper Fat Joe, to the stage. Fat Joe, performed his Grammy nominated banger “All the Way Up” along with a few throwback classics such as “Lean Back” and “What’s Luv?” Following DJ Khaled was Camila Cabello pop artist and former member of music group Fifth Harmony and a mesmerizing performance from Marshmello. Major Lazer closed the Hot 100 Stage raving his smash hit “Know No Better” with surprise guest J Balvin.

Sun Stage

LA beauty Maggie Lindemann was first on the Sun Stage lineup. She graced the crowd with her radiant voice and performed her hit single “Knocking on Your Heart.” Next up was the dynamic rap duo from Omaha, Nebraska, Jack & Jack who turned the crowd up for the two time Grammy winner, T-Pain.With over 60 hit songs under his belt, T-Pain’s 45 minute segment was definitely lit. Songs such as “Sprung,” “Low,” “Buy You a Drank,” and “Up Down”, just to name a few, had the over-crowded audience crazed. Following T-Pain, the millennials’ favorite red-haired, mosh pit king, Lil Yachty, started the party. Yachty performed viral hits such as “I Spy,” “Peek a Boo,” and “Broccoli” before bringing A$AP Ferg on stage for “Work,” “New Level,” and “Minnesota.” Yachty later came back on stage for an encore performance of “Peek a Boo” during rapper, Young Thug’s set. Young Thug closed the Sun Stage with platinum hit “Lifestyle” and “Best Friend”–which he had Disney Channel “Shake It Up” star Bella Thorne and her best friend join him on stage with their best dance moves.
